Garden

So I had a great haul yesterday!

That white thing is an eggplant, which I have yet to decide how to cook. The other stuff you have to ID by yourself.

I have a plot out at Manhattan Community Gardens. I wondered about the wisdom of having a garden for relaxation when I work with plants for a living. But I was proven wrong because you can see how successful it has been.

PS. The biggest perk about having a garden at the MCG is they provide free water!
PPS. So far, I have had only one thing stolen--an entire cabbage plant!

I’M BACK!!!!

I have finally taken the time to update my blog. Granted I spent way too long going through my Canada pictures, but I did figure out how to make collages on Picasa. I left for Canada on the 21st, met my dad and the Boy Scout troop that night. We put on the water Friday morning and were picked up the following Wednesday morning. To the best of my knowledge, everybody caught a fish and a total of 3 walleyes and 1 lake trout were caught. It can be very challenging to catch walleye and lakers from a canoe, especially if you need to be at camp by dark. But I had a good time with dad, Klay (my youngest brother), and the other scouts. I was back at work on the 30th. I hope to blog again soon!
