musings from the lab

Just the deep thoughts which arise from spending long hours in the lab, field, office, greenhouse, and classroom.

laptop

i love my laptop
just the way i have it set
firefox, fireworks, publisher, and word
i know how to use it
and i know how it works

now i also know why
it didn’t work before
something about a short
and a battery gone dead

but now all the trust
from our relationship is spent
i’m backing it up
organizing the data and burning it fast

just one item i need
a new cord without a short
for the one I now use is just on loan
and today it returns

tire am i
to bed i go

resting assured my laptop is safe

Nothing worse than an untrustworthy laptop. The potential betrayal can be quite destructive.

Well, you know what the Christian computer geeks say...

"Jesus saves. Why don't you?"

Hope all is well, Kellan. Looking forward to the next time I can launch a nuclear warhead your way.

he he he... my brother is just as nerdy as me... and he wasn't even a Computer Science major in undergrad. I'm proud of you Kellan... keep it up! Long live all laptops :)

Leo: I will have my missile shield ready!

Kelbs: Especially your old one that I am using right tonight (till my new cord comes in)

Brit: mmmm...7 o'clock on friday night, ten hour drive, leave at 9 AM, skipping class. --or-- hunting in Lamont, two hour drive, spending time with roommate. You make the call, did I make a good decision?
